Belfor Silverstreak
Played By: Jim Smidl
First Adventure: Dragon Scales at Morning Tide, August 12th, 2000, Gencon Milwaukee, DM: Nich Perch, Story: I remember Pete Willis saying, 'Ah, you are in the Theocracy of the Pale, you had better watch out for those priests.'. My response, 'I think I will play an elf and stay out of the city :-)'. Note: My second module in LG came no less that 1 year later with yours and my favorite thief Brendingund.
Last Adventure: Gencon Special (at Indy) : Secrets of Tsojcanth,
August 19th, 2005, DM: Joseph Selby, Story: With my trusty companion Thorin at my side, and a few other great PCs, we took down the many forces of evil with the usually smack of swords, chains and volley of arrows. A fitting end to a great journey from 1 to 18.
Class & Levels: Belfor was driven to be a servant of Ehlonna, a citizen of the Pale, a great archer, an excellent trap specialist and to defend against evil casters. He retires as a Rogue 3, Wizard 1, Fighter 2, Ranger 2, Holy Liberator 3, Pious Templar 3, Darkwood Stalker 3 and Order of the Bow Initiative 1
Description: Belfor is a thin high elf with long black hair tied neatly behind his head. When his hair is down you can discern streaks of silver hair spaced in among the others. A side effect of some hideous experiments that were performed on him during his years of captivity and torture. Somewhat faded are the scars on his neck, wrists and ankles but the pain and memories are still there. Belfor wears mostly greens and tans since he spends a good amount of time in the Phostwood. He is an optimist and fights for the rights of those who cannot protect themselves. He believes in the Pale and stands up to fight those who would bring her down. He never forgets those who sacrificed for him. He worships Ehlonna and spends most of his nights in quiet meditation to her.
Favorite Saying: "I have a search of 44, do I find any traps."
Most Frequently Adventured With: Belfor spent his career travelling the land with Thorin the invincible (likely 90%). Belfor also spent a great deal of time with Frederick the wizard warrior, Brother Maynerd the holy crafter of magic, and Perry the Locksmith.
Most Interesting Equipment: 30+ scrolls purchased in haste and paranoia for the trip to a famous Isle and a very fun weekend at the Weise's, a Ring of Blinking (oh yes!), my cloaks of the Mountebank(and I meant the s), my Quiver of Her
Holiness (Ehlonna), my Vest of Resistance +5, my Stone of Good Luck, my flying mount (Ebony Fly) with her Zephyr Boots, my Health +6/Dexterity+6/Strength+4, my Pearl of the Sirines and lastly my Ring of Counterspells (which came in nicely at times).
Scenarios Played: 103 scenarios
What He Plans to Do During Retirement: Belfor plans to travel the
lands looking for those he can help. He will those willing the way of goodness and to the proper use of the bow. He will make his way back to the Pale when he has the chance to check up on things and visit with old friends. He hopes that events turn for the better
but plans on being available for a long time (elf years) to help out when called.
Number of Regions Visited: 8 — Theocracy of the Pale, Nyrond, Duchy of Urnst, County of Urnst, City of Dyvers, Highfolk, Gran March, and Ulek.
Most Heroic Moment: Belfor spent most of his career marching in front searching the path for traps and finding many a big creature. Early in his career Belfor stood toe to toe against a full plated xvart creature and a bunch of rats while the rest of the PCs chipped away and a priest kept him alive from behind. Later, he helped keep the party alive during a 12 hour - 40 round battle interactive when even the great Thorin almost bit the dust. Belfor took out the main evil Frederick wannabe and saved a trapped PC from a clay golem in the end.
